SERVICE ENGINEER

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Service & Commissioning Engineer will play a key role in maintenance & commissioning of BMS projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards. This role requires a strong technical background in HVAC systems, controls engineering, and project management, along with excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Installation & Commissioning:

  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of equipment and systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.

  • Conduct thorough testing and calibration to verify system functionality and performance.

  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve any technical issues during the commissioning phase.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, implementing effective solutions promptly.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and service reports.

  • Perform remote and on site support to ensure continuity and functionality of systems

Client Interaction & Training:

  • Provide on-site training to clients, ensuring they are proficient in operating and maintaining equipment.

  • Address client inquiries and concerns, offering technical support as needed.

  • Foster strong client relationships to promote customer satisfaction and retention.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance records.

  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in the development and improvement of standard operating procedures.

    • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field

    • Proficient in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of a variety of control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal stakeholders

    • Willingness to travel to client sites and work outside of standard business hours when necessary

    • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations

    To gain an added advantage:

    • 1 year or more of experience as a Service and Commissioning Technician in the automation or control systems industry (fresh graduates are nonetheless encouraged to apply)
